Bemis Spring Art Show and Workshops
It's a thrill to be juried into the Bemis Spring Art Show again. This week has been filled with framing, finishing work and getting ready for not only this show but two weeks with Gillian Lee Smith as she will be teaching in sold out workshops in Seattle and Portland. There is so much to share with her, I just don't know how we are going to see and do everything AND have workshops. I am looking forward to our time together -- there will be lots of laughter.
Then it is on to Bend, OR where we will have our final Dyeing To Rust workshop with Pam Nichols, as Ms. Queen of Rust is moving to Perth, Australia. I've been there many years ago with Builder Bob when he worked for Alcoa and it was just after I graduated from college. Pam and her husband, Bill, are going to love it there. Great food, wine, awesome Chinese food, shark towers (oh, did I really write that?) and important to them, great beer. I will miss her dearly but will look forward to her summer visits. Good thing we didn't move to Portland, eh, Pam?
If you are around Seattle this weekend, please stop by and say hello. The Bemis people really have planned a lot of entertainment, food, music and, of course, three floors of art from the artists who live there and, artists like me, who are there for the weekend. Would love to catch up, or meet you if you are one of my Facebook friends. We can talk about trips for 2018. It's going to be quite the line up!
Here are some of the paintings and assemblages I will have available.
Oh, and if any of you people who are enjoying sun right now could send a little our way, we would really appreciate it. I know we are known for our green trees but when moss starts growing on your appendages, that's not good.
